A FOOTBALL FIELD was set up for the boys of Free Birds Open Shelter Home in their backyard. The plan was to create a 70 ft x 40 ft football field for the boys to play freely in a closed area.

Following are some of the notable features of the field.

- Area of 2800 sq ft, which is 70ft length & 40 ft breadth.
- Industrial work all around with 16 posts of 20 ft height.
- Strong nets of Nylon tied all around & also at the top so that the ball won’t go outside the field.
- 23 loads of soil were brought to the site to fill & raise the ground, which was then rolled hard using a road roller taken for rent.
- Goal Posts done with cylindrical pipes.
- Six LED flood lights installed across the field so that the kids can even play during night time.
- Vinyl boards with biography of renowned footballers who had very poor & challenging childhood, so as to inspire the kids of Free Birds.
