An event for the inmates of Institute of Palliative Medicine.
Sponsor : Navami mol (Kochi, Kerala), Sreehari (Bangalore, Karnataka), and Smt. Saratha (Kozhikode, Kerala)
The mixer at Institute of Palliative Medicine was very noisy and cause irritation for the patients. Arm of Joy purchased a brand new mixer on the birthday of Navami mol from Kochi. A used oxygen concentrator which is in good working condition & masks were also handed over in the name of Smt. Saradha, which were being used for her late husband. Also a used walker & nebulizer were handed over in the name of Sreehari, whose late grandmother was using them.
Institute of Palliative Medicine is located in the Medical College campus, Kozhikode, is the training, research and outreach arm of Pain and Palliative Care Society. It was designated as World Health Organisation Collaborating Center for community participation in Palliative Care and Long Term Care. It provides support for people living with incurable and debilitating illness.
The event started with cutting of Birthday cake in the name of Navami mol by Sri. Jose who is the Vice chairman of IPM. Then the brand new mixer of Butterfly was handed over.
The oxygen concentrator, the walker and the nebulizer were also handed over to IPM.
