An event for the kids of Free Birds.

A one day picnic for the kids of Free Birds Open Shelter. A bus was hired and all those from the Boys home & Girls home were taken for a House Boat experience at Koyilandy, rock climbing at Vanaparvam (Engapuzha) & trekking in the forest at Kakkad (Engapuzha). An event as per the wish of Deepthi Shajan from Kozhikode & Anitha Ashok from Saudi.

The bus journey from Kozhikode started by around 7am. They were dancing continuously through out the journey. The kids got down at Koyilandy by 8am.

Then they headed for the house boat experience. The boat journey which lasted for one hour was indeed a rare experience for these kids.

The next destination was Vanaparvam, Engapuzha. Walking through the orchid gardens, the group reached the rock side and had some nice time there.

After having lunch from Engapuzha, the group headed to explore the Kakkad forest. The trekking into the forest was itself a great experience and the kids got extremely excited when they saw a river stream inside the forest.

After having so much fun in water, the return journey started by around 6pm. The kids had dinner in between the journey to Kozhikode.
