165 days of Joy

An event for the kids of Free Birds (Boys), Free Birds (Girls), Ekalvya, Sree Sadasiva & After Care Home on 12th July 2015

An entertainment session was arranged for the kids of 5 institutions, in connection with the Website Launch & Signature film release of Arm of Joy. All the kids who performed on stage were gifted with new shirts & churidar materials. An event sponsored by Rakesh (Singapore), Bindu (USA), Rineesh (Kozhikode), Sreejith (Kozhikode) & Gayathri (Kozhikode).

The function was arranged at the at the school auditorium of St.Joseph’s Boys HSS. Actor & Director Joy Mathew was the chief guest in the function. He interacted with the kids before the function. District collector N Prasanth IAS was also present on the occasion. Tea with Vada & plum cake were arranged for kids and all the guests.

The function started at 11am. Anoop.G, the managing Trustee of Arm of Joy made the welcome Address and explained about the activities of Arm of Joy and its functioning mode. A slideshow on all the events organized by Arm of Joy till date was also screened.

Joy Mathew officially launched the website of Arm of Joy and delivered an absorbing speech after that. It was fun to listen to the typical presentation style of Joy Mathew.

District collector N. Prasanth IAS released the signature film of Arm of Joy. The animation of the film was done by Amal Vijayan & music composed by Deepankuran Kannadimana. District Collector then shared his ideas about Compassionate Kozhikode project.

A token of gratitude was handed over to Joy Mathew and District collector thereafter. Special mementos were given to Sri. Prasun, (Creative director of Paarva creations, who developed the website of Arm of Joy), Sri. Deepankuran (who did the music for the signature film of Arm of Joy) and Sri. Maneesh Yathra (who co-ordinated the short film festival as the festival director).

Rekha Das, the trustee & treasurer of Arm of Joy delivered the Vote of Thanks and the formal function came to an end.

The entertainment session started with the Dance performance of the kids of Ekalavya Vidhyarthi Nikethan. Kids of Sree Sadasiva Balasadanam, Free Birds &After Care Home also performed some entertaining dance items before the audience. A mime was also performed by the boys of Free Birds. Shirts & Churidar materials were gifted to all kids who danced on stage.

At the end, the kids danced with the Volunteers who made the event ‘165 days of Joy’ a memorable one for all.
