The first anniversary celebration of Arm of Joy with 8 institutions.

A spectacular evening with kids of 8 institutions to celebrate the completion of first year & 100 events of Arm of Joy. A dazzling Dance Performance by children of Free Birds, Ekalavya & After Care Home. (Choreographed & trained by Sri. Giridhar Krishna of Giridhar Dance Studio), an Electrifying Orchestra by Amritha TV Super Troup Team Music Highway led by Saleesh, Amazing Magic Dance by Ashkar kalabhavan & team and Soul stirring Skits by Sri. Giridhar Krishna of Giridhar Dance Studio.

The event was organized at Town Hall and the entry was restricted to invitees. Free Birds Boys Home, Free Birds Girls Home, Ekalavya Vidyarthi Nikethan, Govt. After Care Home, Govt. Mahila Mandiram, Govt. Boys Home, Govt. Short Stay Home and St.Joseph’s Foundling Home took part in the event which started by around 6pm.

Professional Makeup man was arranged so that the kids get an experience of performing in the professional manner. The snapshots of the entire 100 events of Arm of Joy were exhibited at the venue.

Kids were smiling throughout the event. The event started off with Orchestra. Then there was Magic dance which entertained the kids.

The official function began by around 6.30pm in which kids were the special guests on the dais. A video report of the first year of Arm of Joy was shown to the audience.

Anoop G welcomed the kids on stage and Ms. Deepa of Free Birds open shelter home for Boys delivered the presidential speech. Master Ramesh of Free Birds open shelter home for Boys delivered the inaugural speech. Felicitation speech was done by Master Abhijith of Ekalavya Vidyarthi Nikethan & Miss Soumya of Govt. After Care Home.

Mementos were handed over to Sri. Giridhar who trained the kids for two months for the dance performance was felicitated for his great gesture and also to Sri. Saleesh for offering this incredible orchestra without charging a penny. Rekha Das delivered the Vote of Thanks.

The kids of Free Birds & Ekalavya performed a Bhangra dance which was followed by the magical Emu dance & the magical doll dance. Smt. Pushpa, the superintendent of Govt. Girls Home handed over mementos for the kids of Ekalavya who performed well in Science Fair & Sports events.

The electrifying orchestra continued and the kids were always dancing on stage. The skit by Sri. Giridhar Krishna & team followed. Then there was a colourful dance by girls of Govt. After Care Home, a cute dance by girls of Free Birds, Bollywood dance by the boys of Free Birds & Ekalavya and another sizzling dance by girls of Mahila Mandiram.

The programme ended with Non stop songs by Saleesh & non stop dance by kids & audience.

An evening to be remembered forever for all the kids & everyone who attended the event.
