An event for the girls of Sevabharthi

The 30 girls of Sevabharthi orphanage got plenty of gifts as the Vacation comes to an end. A music system of Philips for hearing their most favourite songs and all the stuff they needed for school days ahead – Bags, Umbrellas, Tiffin Boxes, Water Bottles, Pencil Boxes etc. Sevabharthi orphanage located near Parambil Bazar is a subsidiary of Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its activities in the Kozhikode District started in the year 1998. They launched a shelter for orphan girls in 2005 and their new building was inaugurated recently.

The event was organized as part of belated birthday celebration of Devang, whose parents are working in Dubai.

The activity as usual started off with Cake cutting. Devang’s mother Sachna then handed over the Music system to Sri. Subrahmanian, President of Sevabharthi Balikasadan, Kozhikode. Distribution of school bags, umbrellas & tiffin boxes to 10 newly admitted kids was done by Anusha & Drishya. Devang’s grandfather Sri. Sundar distributed Water Bottles & Pencil Boxes. Pens, Pencils, Erasers, Sharpeners & Gum were also gifted along with Pencil Boxes.

We had an interactive session at the end of the activity and the Girls of Sevabharthi sang Nadan Pattu.
