An event for the inmates of DD Home

The inmates of Disabled & Destitute home at Chevayur hardly go out of their room because of their wounds & deformity caused by Leprosy. Three of them had old television sets, which were donated to them sometime back by their relatives & well wishers, but they were not having cable connections due to financial problems. Arm of Joy arranged for set top boxes and cable TV connections for 11 months for three of the inmates of DD Home.

Asianet Satellite Communications Limited offered a good package for the connections, as a special consideration. The cabling working started by around 3pm and was finished by 5pm. TV viewing is undoubtedly a small relief for those unlucky persons abandoned by their relatives.

The cable connections were sponsored by Vibu from Dubai and on the day of installation his parents also came to DD Home & interacted with the inmates. We also arranged some tea time snacks for all the inmates before winding up the day’s activity with lots of smiles.
