Outing to Nilambur

An event for the ladies of Short Stay Home.

A one day trip for the ladies of Govt. Short Stay Home, Vellimadukunnu to Nilabmur teak forest, teak museum & Adyanpara waterfalls. The trip was probably for the first time in the history of this home. The event was to celebrate the birthday of Janakiraman from Chennai.

The journey started from Kozhikode by around 8am. Dance & Music in the bus made the journey lively.

The group entered the Connoly’s plot, the largest man made teak plantation in the world by around 10am. They enjoyed the walk through the hanging bridge and also inside the teak forest. After relaxing for sometime between the teak trees, they came out of the Connoly’s plot and had some juice & other refreshments.

Then the vehicle headed to teak museum. The ladies had a nice time after lunch in the park near teak museum.

After bidding bye to teak museum, the next destination was Adyanpara waterfalls. The ladies played in the water for sometime and enjoyed the waterfalls. The evening tea & snacks was arranged in a small restaurant near the waterfalls.

After the wonderful outing, the ladies had lunch from Kozhikode and got back to their home.
