An event for the kids of ‘Free Birds’

The 1st activity of Arm of Joy. Picnic to Pookode lake with the energetic kids of ‘Free Birds’, a rehabilitation centre for Street children. An event dreamt by Aneesh Gangadharan to celebrate the new job he got in Qatar.

We had arranged a bus for the Journey to Wayanad & the kids had non-stop fun inside the bus, singing and dancing. We served Chaaya & Vada for the kids at Uduppi Restaurant, Kalpetta.

Then we visited the Mahathma Gandhi museum in Kalpetta. Paid tribute to the Father of Nation, whose death anniversary was just a day before. Then we went to Pookode and before entering the premises, we served Biriyani for kids. We had carried Biriyani packets from Kozhikode itself.

Kids had ultimate Joy at Pookode Children’s park. We also arranged Boating in Pookode lake for all the kids. We then bought icecream for all the kids. We started our return journey to Kozhikode and from the 9th hairpin of Thamarassery churam, we made the children cut cake and was then served to all.

A dietician named Puspa from Manipur, who is so keen in philanthropic activities also accompanied us in this journey.
