An event for the kids of Leukemia ward.

The 70th Independence Day of India was celebrated at Leukemia ward of Kozhikode Medical College. A Quiz competition was organized in which Linju Sachi of ‘Quiz Kerala’ was the quiz master. Painting competition was also organized.

The young star of Malayalam film industry, Ms. Ansiba Hassan also made a visit to interact with the kids and to give away prizes. The event was organized as per the wish of Dr. Ashifa from Dubai. It was C4CCCI, a society under Pediatric ward of Medical College and Insitute of Palliative medicine who associated with Arm of Joy to organize kids for the celebration.

The ward was decorated with balloons and flags. The Painting competition began at 9.45am, in which 26 kids participated. The quiz competition for kids and their moms started at 10.45am. Linju Sachi, the regional co-ordinator of ‘Quiz Kerala’ was the Quiz master. The quiz was entertaining with interesting questions for the kids.

Actress Ansiba Hassan came to the ward by around 12 noon. Dr. Ajithkumar V.T, the president of C4CCCI appreciated Ansiba for attending the event. She was in charge of organising the ‘Passing the Parcel’ contest. The actress gave away crayons & colouring books that she had brought. The prize distribution was also done by her. Various crockery & kitchen items were given away as prizes.

A token of gratitude was handed over to Ansiba & also to the quiz master from Arm of Joy. It was indeed a wonderful day not only for the kids, but also for all those who were present in the ward on August 15th.
