Multi Utility Cots

An event for the inmates of DD Home.

9 multi purpose Cots made of metal, which also have a cupboard underneath it were gifted for the inmates of DD Home. 4 cots were provided with the amount shared on the birthday of Rakesh from Singapore and 2 cots in the name of Ahi mon from Kozhikode who also celebrated his birthday in June. The balance 3 cots are being arranged as per the wish of Amitha from Doha.

DD Home at Chevayur, set up by freedom fighters of Kozhikode in 1930’s, is a rehabilitation centre for old aged people, who are cured from Leporsy but abandoned by their relatives. Some of the inmates there are having broken cots and are not even able to sleep well. They also wished to have a cupboard in which they can keep their clothes & other valuables locked. That is why we thought of providing fresh cots for them.

We took the mechanics to DD Home on 24th June to assemble all the 9 cots, the total value of which is close to Rs.75,000/-. As most of the inmates were taking fast in the holy month, it turned out to be a perfect gift for them on the occasion of Eid.
