An event for the the inmates of Poor Home.

Sri. R. Surendran, former HOD of the Hindi department of University of Calicut inaugurating the solar water heater on this day, which we have gifted for the inmates of DD Home (a rehabilitation centre for old aged people who are cured from leprosy, but abandoned by relatives). Sri. Surendran known as Arsu in the literary circles was an inmate of the orphanage under Poor Homes Society which is also managing DD Home.

The heater with capacity of 250 litres will help inmates to have hot water for their various requirements. We have also arranged CPVC lines which will ensure that the hot water reaches 3 different points close to 3 blocks where they are residing. A stand was also made to keep the water tank in an elevated position.

The cost of solar heater, taps, plumbing materials, stand for the tank & installation work was close to Rs.50,000/- and this was met with the amount shared to celebrate the birthday of Shriya mol from California, USA.
