An event for the kids of Free Birds Open Shelter Home on 5th April 2019.

The event was organized for the kids of Free Birds Open Shelter Home, in association with Lamir Cricket Academy, as an exclusive day of cricket in memory of Sri. O.K. Manoharan, who was a very active administrator of Kerala Cricket Association. It was his family’s wish to organize an event for the joy of kids on 5th April, which is the 41st day of his demise. We conducted a Cricket Film Fest from 9am in the Smart Room that we renovated at Free Birds Open Shelter Home for Boys. The kids of Free Birds & Lamir Cricket Academy jointly watched the following movies.

> M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, portraying the journey of the great cricketer from mere ticket collector to the world-cup-winning captain.

> Iqbal, telling the story of a deaf & mute son of a farmer from a remote village, having a huge passion for the game of cricket & working hard to fulfill his dream of playing for the Indian cricket team.

In the evening we also organized a limited over cricket match for the kids of Free Birds & Lamir Cricket Academy, in the ground of Malabar Christian College. Special thanks to the authorities of Kerala Cricket Association for arranging medals for all the kids participating in the cricket match & also providing cricket kits for the kids to play. And thanking the management of Malabar Christian College for giving us permission to organize the match in their ground, so that the kids can have a memorable evening in this summer vacation.
